At Federated Co-operatives Limited, we are seeking a skilled Deli Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of our Deli Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for achieving budgeted goals related to sales, margin, expenses, and inventory, while ensuring the efficient operation of the department to achieve all financial targets.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage the Deli department team in a positive and engaging manner, fostering a collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and innovation.
  2. Develop and implement sales strategies that support our vision, achieving established objectives in terms of brand, service levels, quality, and timeliness of delivery.
  3. Prepare and administer budgets, ensuring efficient use of resources and identifying areas for improvement.
  4. Collaborate with the Store Manager to communicate operational requirements and translate the vision into departmental initiatives.
  5. Provide recommendations and support internal pricing, promotion, and product policies in response to local market needs and competition.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary education is an asset.
  • 3-5 years of proven experience managing a retail deli.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to lift up to 50lbs.
  • Exceptional customer service, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Honest and trustworthy, results-oriented, and strives to be the best in what they do.
