About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team at Rothewood Academy Richmond Garden City. As an Early Childhood Educator, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for our young students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Program Development and Implementation: Assist in planning and implementing programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional, and social development of children.
  • Child Care and Supervision: Provide high-quality care and supervision to children, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
  • Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and children to ensure a smooth and harmonious environment.
  • Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records of children's progress and submit written observations to supervisors.
  • Staff Meetings and Professional Development: Participate in staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Education and Certification: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate and Child Development Assistant (ECE level 1) certification.
  • Work Experience: Experience in childcare or a related field is an asset.
  • Personal Qualities: Dependability, efficient interpersonal skills, flexibility, reliability, and a team player attitude.
