Cisco Voice Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Cisco Voice Engineer to join our team at Axelon Services Corporation. As a Cisco Voice Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining complex voice infrastructure solutions using Cisco Call Manager, Unity Voicemail, and Unified Call Center Express.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide level 3 BAU support for Call Manager, Unity Voicemail, and Unified Call Center Express
  • Participate in the upgrade of the above-mentioned systems to version 14.1, including planning, upgrading, and testing
  • Participate in the planning for upgrading to version 15 for the above systems
  • Perform level 3 troubleshooting of those systems
  • Collaborate with the vendor Cisco in case of issues
  • Document and/or update documentation of the above
  • Configure and maintain Cisco video servers (VCS and Expressway)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with configuration and operation/maintenance of Oracle Session Border Controller, Oracle Enterprise Communication Broker, and Oracle Enterprise Operations Monitor
  • Knowledge of integration of PSTN telephone with TEAMS
  • Experience with Vitec (formerly Exterity) IPTV solution

Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience as a level 3 engineer in the above-mentioned products
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco Voice infrastructure, including Voice Gateways
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco Call Manager, especially version 12 and above
  • Good working knowledge of Unity and UCCx
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Client and ECB
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Video servers (VCS and Expressway) and Cisco Video endpoints
