Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Electromechanical Technician - Moulding Specialist to join our team at the St-Laurent sewing manufacturing and warehouse center. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our injection moulding equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Equipment Setup and Calibration: Assist in setting up and calibrating injection moulding machines to ensure optimal performance.
  • Maintenance and Repair: Perform regular preventive maintenance on injection moulding equipment, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems, electrical components, and mechanical parts. Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues to minimize downtime.
  • Diagnostic Tools and Analysis: Use diagnostic tools to analyze machine functions and make necessary adjustments. Review and analyze PLC/HMI programs to troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Record Keeping and Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and production measurements. Document changes made to machines and update technical manuals accordingly.
  • Collaboration and Improvement: Work closely with production teams to optimize machine parameters and processes for quality results. Coordinate with engineering, production, and maintenance staff to implement improvements and process upgrades.
  • Safety Protocols and Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and ensure compliance with industry regulations.
Required Education and Skills:
  • Education: Hold a DEP in Electromechanical Automation or have equivalent experience.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of proven maintenance experience, preferably in an injection moulding environment.
  • Skills: Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite. Bilingual written and spoken (an asset).
