International Student Services Coordinator - Housing

At triOS College Business Technology Healthcare Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated International Student Services Coordinator to join our team. This role is responsible for providing exceptional support to international students, ensuring a smooth transition to our campus community.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate international student welcome and housing support services, ensuring a seamless experience for our students.
  • Plan and execute student pre-departure information sessions, collaborating with education partners to provide valuable insights.
  • Develop and implement student orientation event schedules, coordinating with staff and community partners to create a comprehensive and engaging experience.
  • Provide students with information about all services available to them, both on campus and in the community, to ensure they feel supported and connected.
  • Assist students in finding suitable housing options, taking into account their budget and preferences.
  • Build strong relationships with landlords, real estate professionals, and community partners to provide students with reliable and trustworthy resources.
  • Stay up-to-date with the Landlord Tenant Act to provide accurate advice to students on housing-related matters.
  • Network with shelters, hotels, and emergency transitional services to support students in crisis situations.
  • Refer students to qualified third-party professionals for guidance on study permits, work permits, and immigration matters.
  • Share knowledge and best practices with other student services coordinators to enhance the overall student experience.
  • Collaborate with the Campus Director to coordinate peer-assisted learning programs and professional tutoring services.
  • Organize activities and events to enrich the student experience and foster a sense of community.
  • Manage the process of ensuring international students receive their health insurance cards and understand their coverage.
  • Effectively communicate with students about the services available to them, how to access them, and provide support when needed.
Requirements:
  • A college diploma in a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of the housing market, student, and community resources.
  • 3-4 years of administrative experience in education or a comparable environment.
  • Experience coordinating group activities or events.
  • Understanding of the current educational environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently.
  • Intermediate computer skills using Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
