Laboratory Services Analyst

As a Laboratory Services Analyst at Emergent BioSolutions, you will play a critical role in ensuring the quality and integrity of our products. Your primary responsibilities will include performing GMP-compliant testing, maintaining laboratory documentation, and performing preventative maintenance on laboratory equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and process test samples, standards, and reagents in a timely and accurate manner.
- Perform routine basic QC analysis, including TOC, pH, water content, and bench chemistry, following established procedures and guidelines.
- Conduct detailed technical and data integrity reviews of QC data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Perform preventative maintenance and calibration on laboratory equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Execute critical reagent and standard qualification studies and maintain adequate inventory of supplies.
- Maintain a clean and sanitary work area, adhering to standard laboratory practices and procedures.
- Document laboratory work and maintain accurate records, adhering to cGMP requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues to troubleshoot and investigate issues, under the guidance of supervisory staff.
- Bachelor's degree in a scientific discipline, such as chemistry, biology, or a related field.
- 2 years of experience in a recognized professional or technical/scientific field, preferably in a pharmaceutical cGMP environment.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel.
- Understanding of pharmaceutical GLPs and GMPs, as well as laboratory techniques and safety precautions.
- WHMIS and biohazard safety awareness, with the ability to work in a fast-paced and highly regulated environment.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal forms.
