Job Description

This is a full-time position as an English Language Arts Teacher for Senior High (Grades 10 - 12) at West Island College. As a teacher, you will play a vital role in designing and delivering innovative and creative programs, assessing student progress, and fostering a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

Design and deliver engaging lesson plans for English Language Arts students in Grades 10-12Assess student progress and provide constructive feedbackFoster a positive and inclusive learning environmentCollaborate with colleagues to develop curriculum and instructional strategies

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Education or advanced degree in a related field
  • 3-5 years of experience teaching English Language Arts in a senior high school setting
  • Alberta Teacher Certification or eligibility to obtain
