Director, Early Learning Centres

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to lead our Early Learning Centre team in providing exceptional care and education for young children. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operation and administration of the centre, ensuring a safe, healthy, and supportive learning environment for children, staff, and families.
Key Responsibilities- Compliance and Regulatory Management: Ensure adherence to all regulations and legislated standards, including Ministry of Education Licensing standards, Toronto Children's Services Assessment for Quality Improvement, Toronto Public Health guidelines, and College of Early Childhood Educators Code of Ethics and Standards of Practice.
- Program Quality and Pedagogy: Develop and implement high-quality early childhood education programmes, ensuring a diverse and inclusive learning environment that supports the highest programme quality, equity, and inclusion for children, staff, and families.
- Leadership and Staff Management: Provide robust, reflective, and responsive leadership, supporting continuous professional development opportunities for educators, inspiring and providing support to ensure high performance from staff, and recruiting, hiring, training, supervising, and evaluating assigned staff.
- Operations and Management: Ensure the safety and financial viability of the Early Learning Centre, contributing to policies and procedure development, updates, and staff adherence, and communicating with external partners and stakeholders.
- Community Engagement and Partnerships: Develop effective strategies to engage families and community partners, creating communications, hosting events, and connecting to other resources as needed.
- Qualifications and Experience: A diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education and an Early Childhood Management-Leadership certificate, with experience in an early learning/childcare setting, including experience supporting or directly leading staff, programmes, and communications.
- Skills and Competencies: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to motivate and evaluate staff, and experience with programme quality improvement and regulatory compliance.
