We are seeking a skilled drywall installation specialist to join our team. As a drywall installation specialist, you will be responsible for installing drywall in various settings, including interior and exterior walls and ceilings.

Job Summary

This is a permanent position requiring 40 hours of work per week. The successful candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in the field and a secondary (high) school graduation certificate.

Key Responsibilities
  • Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
  • Fabricate and install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
  • Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound using a trowel and broad knife.
  • Finish corners and angles and create decorative designs in the finish coat, if required.
  • Mix plaster ingredients to the desired consistency.
  • Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in compound.
  • Install acoustic tile, hangers for suspended ceilings, and metal studs for composition wallboard or lath.
  • Install exterior and interior steel studs.
  • Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools.
  • Install vapor barriers and thermal and sound insulation.
  • Work at heights on scaffolding or swing stages.
  • Erect and install scaffolding, falsework, and other working platforms.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • At least 2 years of experience in drywall installation.
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • Ability to work at heights and on scaffolding.
  • Knowledge of building codes and regulations.
