Financial Data Entry Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Data Entry Clerk to join our team at Peel Mutual Insurance Company. As a key member of our accounting department, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records and performing various bookkeeping tasks.
Key Responsibilities- Process and record financial transactions accurately and efficiently
- Manage and maintain general ledgers and financial statements
- Prepare and post journal entries in a timely manner
- Calculate and prepare cheques for payroll and other financial obligations
- Perform various bookkeeping duties as required
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
- Less than 7 months of experience in a related field
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
This is a permanent position working 35 hours per week. You will be required to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines and may be required to work overtime from time to time.
Salary and BenefitsThe salary for this position is estimated to be around $45,000 - $55,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including health and dental insurance, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
