Counsellor - Parkland County and Spruce Grove

Job Summary:
The Community Counsellor provides confidential counselling services to residents of Parkland County and Spruce Grove, focusing on single sessions and short-term support. This role collaborates with partners to identify gaps in service and address community needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide trauma-informed, client-centered counselling sessions for individuals aged 14 and up.
- Ensure consent is obtained for counselling sessions and identify clients at risk.
- Provide referrals to clients who require community-based navigation supports.
- Use bio-psycho-social assessments to determine areas of focus for sessions and client-identified goals.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Counselling (preferred).
- Full registration with a licensing body/college and in good standing.
- Registration with various insurance providers and/or ability to meet criteria for reimbursement of client-related counselling expenses.
- 4-6 years of related experience in clinical counselling.
