Job Description

The Social Innovation and Community Development (SICD) Instructor is responsible for providing post-secondary education that prepares adult learners for a career in the Community Development field. Our goal is to provide adult learners with a supportive, culturally safe, and inclusive environment to thrive in.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Teach adults who genuinely want to learn in a vocational college setting or similar.
  • Develop, curate, and deliver lessons within hybrid learning environments.
  • Evaluate student performance, grade, and revise content as required.
  • Monitor academic progress and provide feedback in a diplomatic and timely fashion.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

Main Qualifications:
  • Two+ years of experience in teaching or training adult learners.
  • Post-Secondary Education in Education, Teaching for Life, is considered an asset.
  • High level of attention to detail, accuracy, and organization.
  • Dependable, approachable, adaptable, and flexible.
  • Strong interpersonal and collaboration skills, must thrive in a team environment.
Estimated Salary Range

$45,000 - $53,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
