Clinical Nurse Specialist

About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated Licensed Practical Nurse who is committed to providing high-quality patient care. As an LPN with Northern Health Authority, you will be part of a multidisciplinary team that works together to deliver exceptional healthcare services to our community.
In this role, you will have the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, including those requiring medical attention, surgical procedures, and ongoing care. You will be responsible for assessing patients' needs, developing and implementing individualized care plans, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless delivery of care.
Responsibilities- Assess patients' physical and emotional needs, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate progress towards goals
- Provide direct patient care, including administering medications, wound care, and vital sign monitoring
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of service
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams to ensure optimal outcomes
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing LPN registrant
- Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing, with residents, families, co-workers, members of the multidisciplinary team, and the public
- Ability to deal with others effectively, demonstrating empathy, patience, and understanding
- Ability to organize work and implement a plan of care, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently
- Knowledge and competencies to work at full scope of practice as currently required by the CLPNBC, including administering medications
- Ability to operate related equipment, such as infusion pumps and ventilators
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods

Estimate Salary RangeThe estimated salary range for this position is between $32.84 and $41.35 per hour, based on experience and qualifications.
