Job Summary:

We are seeking a seasoned Heavy Truck Service Operations Manager to join our team. This critical role requires a journeyman Red Seal Mechanic certification, extensive experience overseeing heavy truck operations, and proficiency with various diagnostics programs, preferably Fleetio.

The successful candidate will be responsible for tracking and ensuring adherence to preventative maintenance and regular service scheduling. Key responsibilities include coordinating activities of mechanics on repair priorities, coordinating needs of the mechanics with the parts department, playing a direct role in educating drivers regarding proper unit care and maintenance, meeting with and coordinating needs of the Operations Managers from different lines of business, developing enhanced preventative maintenance guidelines and protocols based upon observed experience, issuing work orders to mechanics for completion, ensuring completion and enter into the management software, assisting with interpreting parts requisitions from mechanics to parts personnel and ensure all work and parts are properly recorded, reviewing driver pre and post trips notes and issues within the system for information on needs and issues to ensure they are being completed correctly, and developing monthly and annual budgets, as well as sufficient inventory backstock for needed critical components that might have long delivery timelines.
