We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Medical Response Specialist to join our team at Health Careers in Sask. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for providing critical care services to patients in need.

About the Role

Reporting to the Southwest EMS Operations Manager, the Medical Response Specialist will respond to emergent and non-emergent medical calls, providing initial assessment, treatment, stabilization, and transport of patients at the Basic Life Support level.

Key Responsibilities
  • Respond to medical emergencies and provide critical care services
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop effective treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care
  • Operate within strict adherence to SHA core values, policies, and work standards, as well as SCoP Paramedic Clinical Practice Protocols
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • A Primary Care Paramedic diploma (PCP)
  • An International Trauma Life Support Certificate (ITLS)
  • A valid Class 4 driver's license
  • An Automated External Defibrillator Certificate (AED)
  • A Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certificate (CPR)
  • Registration as an Emergency Medical Technician/Primary Care Paramedic (EMT/PCP)
