About This Opportunity

Black & McDonald Limited is seeking a skilled and motivated Apprentice Plumber to join our Construction Division in Saskatoon, SK. As a key member of our team, you will have the opportunity to develop your skills and knowledge in the trade, working on a variety of projects and tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Under the direction of the site foreman, move and haul materials, pull water lines, thread pipe, and assist with other tasks as required.
  • Independently thread pipe, install laundry boxes, and with supervision, begin drainage, soldering, assembling tub valves, and assist with other tasks as required.
  • Perform other duties as required, including participation in rotating 24/7 emergency on-call support.

Education and Experience Requirements
  • Cross Connection Control Certification is considered an asset.
  • A-Gas Certification is considered an asset.
  • WHIMIS, SCOTT, R&R, Mobile Aerial Platform Training, Fall Protection Training, and Confined Space Training are considered assets.
  • Relevant industry experience is required, and consideration may be given to those who do not possess all the above requirements if they can demonstrate a strong work ethic, passion for the trade, and a desire to learn.
Skills and Abilities
  • Clean Class 5 SK Driver's License and abstract.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to visualize a finished product from a document.
  • Strength, stamina, and the use of proper lifting techniques to handle heavy tools and parts weighing up to 25 kilograms.
  • Ability to stand for long periods, do moderately heavy lifting and carrying, and work in high, awkward, and noisy places.
  • Ability to work alone or with others and contribute to a highly team-oriented environment.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.
