Operations Lead, Indigenous Health Program

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Operations Lead to join our Indigenous Health Program team. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for the effective and efficient functioning of the program, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, culturally safe services to Indigenous communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage an interdisciplinary team of Indigenous staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the achievement of program goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement operational plans, budgets, and policies to ensure the effective use of resources and the delivery of high-quality services.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including Medical Leaders, Professional Discipline Leaders, and BC Women's Program and Nursing Leaders, to ensure the provision of an interprofessional work environment that supports patient care.
  • Provide input to the Director on labor disruption contingency planning strategies and ensure the program's compliance with accreditation, regulatory, and safety standards.

Requirements

  • A level of education, training, and experience equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Health Sciences, or a relevant clinical discipline, plus a minimum of five (5) years of recent, related experience working with Indigenous communities in a hospital or public health care environment.
  • Current practicing registration with a relevant professional association.
  • Established knowledge and network of Indigenous communities, services, and agencies throughout BC.
  • Ability to direct and respond to inquiries of Indigenous Health department alignment to Paige's Story and the Truth and Reconciliation Call To Action report.
