Job Summary:

The Health Care Aide is a vital member of our home care team, working under the supervision of the Care Coordinator to provide various personal care services as necessary to meet the client's needs. This role involves assisting with personal care and hygiene, meal preparation, light housekeeping, accompanying clients on outings, shopping and errands, medication reminders, ambulation and transporting of clients, and providing companionship to clients. The ideal candidate will have a Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent, current CPR/First Aid training, and the ability to travel around the location territory. Responsibilities:
  • Assistance with personal care and hygiene
  • Meal Preparation
  • Light Housekeeping
  • Accompany clients on outings

  • Medication Assist/Reminders

  • Ability to follow care-plan
  • Documentation/Charting

Qualifications:
  • Health Care Aide Certificate or equivalent (foreign-trained nurse, nursing student)
  • Current CPR/First Aid training or willingness to obtain
