About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Enterprise Account Executive to join our team at ActiveState. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for driving new sales and instrumental in the growth of our business.

Key Responsibilities
  • Consistently exceed sales targets with net new accounts within your assigned territory
  • Generate pipeline via cold/warm outreach, networking, referrals, etc.
  • Consult with prospective customers to find solutions to problems they are facing
  • Conduct discovery, product demonstrations, and negotiation calls
  • Engage meaningfully about our solutions with mid-level and senior management
  • Collaborate with internal team members, including BDRs, CSMs, Support and Engineering
  • Leverage available technologies and data on our users to enhance the impact and management of sales opportunities.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in B2B sales with medium/large enterprises in US and/or Europe; selling technical products to IT, Security or Dev/Engineering an asset
  • Bachelor's degree, college diploma in sales/marketing or other field of study or equivalent experience
  • Goal- & Outcome-Oriented: Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
  • Selling Skills: Demonstrated ability to listen and provide solutions in support of business objectives
  • Competitive: Must possess initiative, business acumen, confidence, and a competitive attitude
  • Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills, especially with technical and business topics
  • Detail-Oriented: Organized, able to use account and user data from various internal and external sources, in order to plan and prioritize prospects
  • Dynamic Adaptability: Ability to shift course and change priorities, adeptly handling complex and dynamic requirements and deadlines with minimum impact to job responsibilities.
About the Opportunity

This is a full-time opportunity offering a $120,000 - $180,000 per year salary, depending on experience, plus comprehensive benefits package and health/wellness credit program. You will be working for a stable and growing company that offers the positive aspects and personal growth potential of a start-up.

The successful candidate will have excellent sales skills, strong knowledge of SaaS/software sales, high technical aptitude, and a proven track record of winning business in IT, Dev/Engineering groups. They will also understand complex selling and organizational structures in large enterprises within North America and/or Europe, and have experience working with individuals from IT admins and software developers up to C-level decision-makers.
