Food Service Operations Manager

Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Dexterra Group. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our kitchen, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Work closely with our Chef Manager to plan and develop menus, recipes, and catering events, incorporating seasonal themes and creative ideas from staff.
- Ensure staff are trained and equipped to use proper techniques, tools, and equipment, and that they follow FoodSafe and ServeSafe protocols.
- Monitor and control costs, including inventory management, food rotation, and portioning standards.
- Communicate effectively with staff, customers, and management to ensure seamless operations and high-quality service.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and healthy working environment, adhering to all applicable legislation and company policies.
- Provide recommendations to the Chef Manager on budget requirements and profit maximization.
- Coordinate ordering supplies and ensure timely delivery.
- Ensure the integrity of the cash flow process and train staff in Cash Handling procedures.
- Maintain speed of service standards and respond professionally to customer inquiries and concerns.
Requirements
- 3 years' experience in the hospitality/food service industry.
- Knowledge of computer programs, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
- Extensive knowledge of menu and labor costing.
- Effective leadership style, positive outgoing personality, and effective listening skills.
