Role Overview

This financial credit risk specialist position is based in our Richmond, BC office with the opportunity to work 2 days remotely per week.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to customers both internally and externally, ensuring seamless interactions and resolutions.
  • Develop, recommend, and implement policies and procedures for investigating and evaluating customer creditworthiness and extending or revoking credit lines/limits.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to resolve billing disputes affecting receivable collection.
  • Review and make recommendations regarding bad debt or write-offs, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Analyze credit risks using available internet and credit agency tools, providing actionable insights.
  • Recommend and implement credit extensions/revocations and/or legal action where necessary, maintaining relationships with outside credit agencies.
  • Ensure adherence to procedures and internal controls to maintain compliance.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or equivalent.
  • At least 3 years of experience in credit and accounting, with a focus on financial analysis.
  • Strong understanding of balance sheets, profit and loss statements, cash flow, and other financial metrics.
  • Proficiency in Excel and MS Office applications, including Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with attention to detail and organizational abilities.
What We Offer
