We are seeking an experienced Field Technician/Engineer to provide technical and operational direction for rehabilitative and inspection projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical and operational direction and project management principles to the planning, design, and operation of rehabilitative and inspection projects.
  • Review estimates for assigned projects and site visits to assess traffic requirements and work shift types.
  • Update the system with findings from site visits and discuss any issues with the Project Manager.
  • Attend pre-bid, pre-construction, and project status meetings with customers as needed.
  • Apply for applicable permits and assist field crews with delivering 48-hour notices to residents.
  • Ensure construction operations are well organized and coordinated.
  • Prepare work packages for scheduled work and review prep videos and finals for concerns.
  • Maintain strong working relationships at job sites with field leadership and crews.
  • Communicate with Regional Managers, Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and other field crews to provide details on project parameters and project changes.
  • Act as liaison between field and office and perform regular site visits to assess project progress and crew productivity.
  • Provide excellent standards of customer service to maintain a positive company image and ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualifications:

  • Project Management Certificate, Diploma in Construction Management, Engineering Degree, or Technical Diploma from an accredited technical institution.
  • 3-5 years related field construction management experience.
  • Approximately 30% travel and ability to plan, schedule, and assign work of crews.
  • Must have a solid understanding of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and databases, and Microsoft Project and JD Edwards software experience is an asset.
  • Ability to complete applicable reports, calculations, records, and administrative tasks and strong communication skills.
