As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you will have the ability to shape and contribute to innovative projects from initial planning stages to design and construction. You will work collaboratively with a diverse range of clients, cultivating relationships and delivering exceptional service.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in HVAC and other aspects of mechanical engineering for buildings. They should demonstrate expertise in buildings decarbonization or deep retrofit projects, high energy efficiency projects, and strong abilities in developing innovative solutions to engineering challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and review plumbing and HVAC schematics
  • Design buildings, including commercial, residential, and institutional projects
  • Perform and review heating and cooling ventilation calculations
  • Collaborate with the project team throughout the design process
  • Maintain business relationships with clients and drive business development

Requirements:

  • A recognized mechanical engineering degree and P. Eng. designation
  • 10+ years of experience in mechanical buildings engineering, including HVAC, plumbing, and building services
  • Self-motivation, strong interpersonal, and communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Demonstrate a commitment to client service and knowledge of Canadian codes and standards
  • Familiarity with commercial building automation systems, DDC control systems, and software such as AutoCAD and Revit

Estimated Salary Range: $105,440 - $131,800 per year, based on the richness and diversity of the candidate's experience, training, skills, and internal equity. A valid BC driver's license is also required.
