Brannon Steel is seeking an experienced Human Resources Manager to lead our HR team at the Brampton manufacturing facility. In this pivotal role, you will partner with the leadership team to implement HR strategies that support the overall business objectives of the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement HR strategies and initiatives aligned with the overall business strategy.
  • Act as a strategic partner to management, providing insights and recommendations on HR matters.
  • Ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and update HR policies and procedures to reflect best practices and legal requirements.
  • Explore and implement a new HRIS system with enhanced features such as tracking training, better vacation visibility, and live dashboards and reporting capabilities.
  • Review and refine the performance evaluation system for both hourly and salaried employees, ensuring alignment with guidelines and fostering development.
  • Oversee the recruitment and selection process to attract and retain top talent.
  • Foster a positive work environment through effective employee relations programs.
  • Design and manage competitive compensation and benefits programs.
  • Develop and oversee training programs to enhance employee skills and career development.
  • Develop and implement DEI initiatives to promote an inclusive workplace culture, including training programs, employee resource groups, and regular policy reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • In-depth knowledge of labour law and HR best practices.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • 10+ years of HR experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in creating and implementing HR policies, including vacation policies.
  • Experience in developing and refining performance management systems for both hourly and salaried employees.
  • Experience in creating talent development and succession planning programs, including skills matrix development.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive employee issues with discretion.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to create and implement effective HR strategies and initiatives.
  • Proven experience in selecting and implementing HRIS systems with advanced features.
