About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Zen Japanese Restaurant. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading our kitchen operations and ensuring the highest quality of food is served to our customers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure efficient and effective kitchen operations.
  • Develop and implement new recipes and menus to maintain a high level of culinary excellence.
  • Supervise and train staff in preparation, cooking, and presentation of food.
  • Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain a well-stocked kitchen.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and maintain a clean and safe working environment.

Requirements:

  • 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in a senior kitchen management role.
  • Proven track record of leading a team to achieve high levels of culinary excellence.
  • Strong knowledge of Japanese cuisine and cooking techniques.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
