Salary Range

Our salary range for this position is estimated to be between $104,827.91 and $144,138.39 annually, commensurate with the level of the position and performance.



Job Description

This is a critical opportunity to join our team as an Embedded Flight Software Engineer. Your primary responsibility will be designing and developing flight software for spacecraft missions for both civilian and DoD applications.


You will contribute to analyses of various architectures that include space vehicles, satellites, sensors, communications, and ground infrastructure; evolving or creating new approaches based on analysis results. You will also contribute to evaluating the mission effectiveness of the candidate approaches, balancing mission objectives against factors such as development and lifecycle costs.


The ideal candidate will have recent experience with at least one real-time operating system (such as VxWorks) and be familiar with both asymmetric and symmetric multiprocessing architectures. The candidate must also be comfortable working in an Agile Scrum environment.



Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or other related discipline and typically 6 or more years of relevant experience
  • Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
  • A higher-level degree may substitute for experience
  • Basic knowledge of Computer Aided Engineering tools
  • Conceptual understanding of engineering principles and practices
  • Familiarity working in multi-disciplinary teams
  • An active Top Secret with SCI eligibility U.S. Security Clearance is required
