Job Title: Personal Support Worker
About the Role:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Worker to join our team at Circle of Care. As a PSW, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our clients in their homes, promoting their independence and well-being.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide personal care to seniors, including grooming, bathing, dressing, toileting, and meal preparation
- Assist with light housekeeping and companionship or emotional support
- Travel to and from clients' homes throughout the day, providing care and support as needed
Requirements:
- Current Immunization Records
- Fluency in both verbal and written English
- Able to access and utilize ZOOM
- Personal Support Worker (PSW) Certificate from a curriculum approved by the Ministry of Colleges and Universities or Ministry of Education OR
- Developmental Support Worker (DSW) Certification OR
- Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) student with a minimum successful completion of one year of school OR
- Foreign-trained Registered Nurse, Registered Practical Nurse, Midwife or Physician
Preferred Qualifications:
- Home Support Worker (Level II or Level III) Certification OR
- Health Care Aide or Personal Attendant PA+2 OR
- Registered Nurse (RN)/Registered Practical Nurse (RPN)/Paramedic Certificate OR
- Physiotherapy Assistant/Occupational Therapy Assistant/Communications Disorder Assistant Certificate from a recognized community college OR
- Is registered with and/or successfully completed the Certification exam required to register with the Ontario Association of Child and Youth Care (OACYC); OR
- Foreign-trained Paramedic, Physiotherapist, Occupational Therapist, Speech Language Pathologist, Social Worker, Dietician
