Occupational Therapist Job Overview

Closing the Gap Healthcare (CTG) is a Canadian-owned, award-winning organization that provides high-quality home and community-based healthcare services. We are seeking an Occupational Therapist to join our team in Muskoka, Ontario.

About the Role

This role involves assessing and building therapy care plans for clients in their homes, developing health promotion programs, prescribing equipment and supplies, and promoting client safety. You will collaborate with our inter-disciplinary healthcare team to build holistic treatment goals and service plans.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ambulatory and Virtual Therapy Services: Deliver face-to-face and virtual therapy services to clients in the comfort of their own homes.
  • Client-Centered Care Planning: Develop and implement individualized care plans tailored to each client's unique needs and goals.
  • Equipment Prescription: Prescribe and recommend assistive devices and equipment to enhance client independence and mobility.
  • Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Work closely with other healthcare professionals, caregivers, and family members to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a recognized Post-Secondary program in Occupational Therapy.
  • Current active registration as an Occupational Therapist with the College of Occupational Therapists of Ontario.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle.
