At the University of Ottawa Faculty of Medicine, we are seeking a highly skilled Physician Assistant to join our team as a Neurology Specialist. This role offers an exciting opportunity for individuals who are passionate about delivering high-quality patient care and working collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing consultation and follow-up services to patients with epilepsy in an outpatient clinic setting. This will include history and physical examinations, completion of consultation reports, review of medication prescriptions, and arrangement for further services as needed. The Physician Assistant will also participate in surgical management of epilepsy patients, research related to epilepsy, and other duties within their scope of practice.

Requirements
  • Graduate of a University Physician Assistant Program or equivalent
  • Current registration with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants (CAPA) is preferred
  • Proven leadership abilities with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
  • Strong report writing skills
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Commitment to confidentiality
  • Excellent teamwork and team-building skills
  • Experience in provision of patient care considered an asset
  • Fluency in French and English
Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary of $**120,000 - 150,000** per year, depending on experience, plus benefits including comprehensive health insurance, pension plan, and paid time off.
