Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Personal Care Attendant to join our team at Heffermans Guest Home. As a Personal Care Attendant, you will provide high-quality care and support to our residents, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide personal care and hygiene assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, and grooming.
  • Assist residents with daily living activities, such as feeding, toileting, and mobility.
  • Monitor and report any changes in residents' health or behavior to the nursing staff.
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents, including their living areas and common spaces.
  • Assist with meal preparation and serving, as well as maintaining a clean and organized kitchen.
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, engaging in activities and conversations that promote their well-being.
  • Collaborate with the nursing staff to develop and implement care plans that meet the unique needs of each resident.
  • Participate in ongoing training and education to enhance your skills and knowledge in providing high-quality care.
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
  • 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • First Aid Certificate and CPR Certificate.
  • Criminal record check and immunization records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
