At Royal Bank of Canada, we are seeking a seasoned professional to fill the role of Operational Risk Management Director. This exciting opportunity is part of our GRM Operational Risk Shared Services Team, responsible for developing, maintaining, and monitoring the effectiveness of our Operational Risk Management (ORM) Program.

The ideal candidate will possess sound knowledge of control management concepts, methodologies, and best practices, as well as experience with operational risk management principles. They will be able to turn theoretical concepts into logical, tangible, and sustainable solutions, collaborate effectively with stakeholders, and communicate complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.

This position comes with an estimated annual salary of $145,000-$200,000 CAD, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for growth and development. The successful candidate will be based in Toronto, working 37.5 hours per week in a full-time capacity.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Buildding and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Identifying and understanding stakeholder needs as they relate to control management practices and tools
  • SUPPORTING THE DEVELOPMENT AND ONGOING MAINTENANCE OF THE RISK REGISTER, RCSA, AND CONTROL MANAGEMENT PRACTICES IN A MANNER THAT CONSIDERS BOTH INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL BEST PRACTICES AS WELL AS RBC'S OPERATIONAL RESILIENCY.
