We are seeking a highly skilled Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team at AMETEK, Inc. in Middlefield, CT.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing process controls based on risk assessment to mitigate risk or ensure the detection of quality defects/concerns. This includes evaluating and improving existing monitoring and measuring capabilities for manufacturing processes, as well as optimizing optics handling practices to minimize associated risks.

Additional responsibilities include supporting quality assurance-focused Manufacturing Readiness Review (MRR) activity, developing current Process Failure Mode Analyses (PFMEAs) for all manufacturing processes, and performing root cause analysis on quality issues as directed.

The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years' experience in manufacturing high mix, electro-mechanical environments and a strong understanding of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Implement process controls based on risk assessment to mitigate risk or ensure the detection of quality defects/concerns.

Requirements
  • 4 Year Bachelor's Degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Materials/Quality or Optical Engineering.
  • 1-3 years' experience in manufacturing high mix, electro-mechanical environments.
  • Strong understanding of quality assurance terminology, methods, and tools.
  • Experience in managing and analyzing processes and flow in a high mix, low volume, fast-paced production environment.
  • Knowledge of essential statistical tools to analyze manufacturing processes.
