About the Role
H&M Group is seeking a Store Manager to lead our retail store team. As a Store Manager, you will be responsible for driving sales growth, maximizing profitability, and shaping the store according to our shared values and standards.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Analyze and follow up on store sales and profit KPIs, taking actions to maximize results.
- Work with the Area Team to set hours plans in line with the sales budget.
- Ensure scheduling maximizes conversion within the hours plan.
- Prioritize and take actions in the store that have a clear impact on sales in line with the Area Team.
- Give input to the Area on store allocation to secure a good garment level according to sales.
- Ensure execution continuously meets H&M standards and follow up using the Customer Experience Tool.
- Ensure Store Operations Best Practices are followed in the store, according to the Area plan.
- Ensure H&M customer service standards are delivered.
- Manage the recruitment, training, development, and succession planning for the store team.
- Evaluate and manage the performance of the store team, including having dialogues, putting development plans in place, giving feedback, and following up and taking actions to improve performance and develop the team.
- Actively work with talent and leadership development in the store to support business needs.
- Ensure regular and clear communication with the store team on business performance, H&M's Company Culture & Values, and Country, Area, and Store goals.
- Ensure health & safety, legal, and security issues are being handled in accordance with H&M standards and local legislation, ensuring employee and customer safety.
- Strengthen our Company Culture by promoting feedback in our daily work and coaching the store team.
Requirements
- High School Graduate or equivalent.
- 2-3 years of retail management experience or comparable experience.
- Ability to lift in excess of 20 pounds and to stand for long periods of time, bend, stretch, engage in repetitive motions, push, pull, and carry items.
- Exceptional customer service and interpersonal skills.
- Proven organizational and analytical skills.
- Consistently shows ability to be sales driven and results-oriented by taking action, relating all decisions back to store results, and working to improve P&L.
- Strong merchandising skills with the ability to drive the business through creativity and extensive fashion knowledge.
- Ability to take own initiative and to work strategically.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to coach and apply appropriate developmental tools for each individual.
- Experience with preparing and administering progressive discipline processes and performance management as well as succession planning.
