Job Summary: We are seeking a highly motivated Material Handler to join our team at Sandhar Trucking Ltd. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for building pallets, loading and unloading products and materials, and operating various equipment to move materials and products. You will also be involved in picking orders, stocking, weighing materials, making labels, packing and unpacking goods, sorting, crating, and stacking goods, and storing cargo and materials.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Build pallets and load/unload products and materials by hand or with basic material handling equipment.
  • Operate a variety of equipment to load, unload, and move materials and products.
  • Pick orders and stock materials.
  • Weigh materials and goods.
  • Make labels and attach to goods.
  • Pack and unpack goods.
  • Sort, crate, and stack goods.
  • Store cargo and materials.

Support for Newcomers and Refugees:

  • Support social and labour market integration of newcomers and/or refugees.
  • Recruit newcomers and/or refugees who were displaced by a conflict or a natural disaster.
  • Support newcomers and/or refugees with foreign credential recognition.
  • Offer mentorship programs that pair newcomers and/or refugees with experienced employees.
  • Provide diversity and cross-cultural trainings to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and/or refugees.

Support for Indigenous People:

  • Provide cultural competency training and/or awareness training to all employees to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers.

  • Work Term: Permanent.
