Acadia University Administrative Support Specialist

Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced administrative assistant to join our team at Acadia University's Psychology Department.
About the Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional client service, managing daily operations, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the department.
Responsibilities
- Provide support to students, faculty, and staff by receiving visitors, calls, and other contacts, and responding to inquiries and referrals as necessary;
- Prepare timetables for courses offered through the department, assist with student recruitment, and support career development processes for faculty members;
- Manage expenditures, track accounting data, and assist with budget preparation;
- Maintain the departmental website, manage records, and schedule appointments;
- Process course evaluations and manage the psychological test bank for all teaching staff in the Faculty of Pure & Applied Science.
Requirements
- A minimum of [ salary: $45,191 ] per annum, increasing to [ salary: $50,371 ] after 6 months of probation;
- Demonstrated ability to work accurately, maintain confidentiality, and adapt to changing priorities;
- Strong analytical skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including experience with database management;
- Familiarity with Acadia's academic programs and administrative procedures is an asset.
