Carpentry Assistant with Operations Support

We are seeking a highly skilled Carpentry Assistant with Operations Support to join our team at Sunder Finishing Carpentry. This role will involve assisting in various carpentry tasks, providing support for newcomers and refugees, and working with youths and Indigenous people.
About the Role- This is a permanent position, offering 40 hours of work per week.
- The successful candidate will be required to speak English as their primary language.
As a Carpentry Assistant with Operations Support, you will play a vital role in supporting our operations, ensuring that projects are completed efficiently and effectively. Your excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with colleagues from diverse backgrounds will be essential assets in this role.
Duties and Responsibilities- Loading, unloading, and transporting construction materials
- Cleaning and lubricating cranes
- Erecting and dismantling concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks shoring, and barricades
- Assisting in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
- Leveling earth to fine grade specifications
- Cleaning and piling salvaged materials
- Performing routine maintenance work
- Cleaning up chemical spills and other contaminants
- Removing rubble and other debris at construction sites
- Tending or feeding machines or equipment used in construction
Additionally, as a Carpentry Assistant with Operations Support, you will have opportunities to develop your skills in supporting newcomers and refugees, working with youths, and creating a welcoming environment for Indigenous people.
What We Offer- A competitive salary of approximately $60,000-$80,000 per year, depending on experience.
