Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute account plans to identify new sales and revenue-generating opportunities.
  • Utilize a consultative sales approach to ensure profitable outcomes for both Interac and our clients.
  • Deepen existing relationships in a competitive environment and foster productive relationships at all levels within client institutions and our organization.
  • Act as the primary point of escalation for client issues and participate in Advisory Committees with designated functional departments.
  • Support Product Development by sharing client strategies and priorities, socializing new concepts, and testing solutions and business models with clients.

Requirements:

  • Post-secondary degree in Commerce or Business Administration.
  • 10+ years of sales and relationship management experience in the financial services industry, preferably in payments.
  • Eligibility to work for Interac Corp. in Canada in a full-time capacity.
  • Demonstrated success in business development activities, including prospecting and referrals.
  • Proven experience in building trust and strong knowledge of relationship management practices.
  • Proven track record of building and maintaining strong client relationships.
  • Deep understanding of clients' business, including payment strategies across all product/service platforms.
  • Strong payments knowledge, including debit & credit card issuing business.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders across all levels of an organization with divergent objectives.
  • Demonstrated consultative sales skills and success in planning, managing, and closing complex sales.
  • Excellent strategic thinking, planning, analytical, and evaluative skills.
  • Advanced communications skills, both written and verbal.
  • Commitment to excellence in client, shareholder, and stakeholder relations and service.
  • Ability to be comfortable with consistent business and organizational change.
  • Solid decision-making, problem resolution, conflict management, and negotiation skills.
  • Commitment to respectful collaboration with colleagues to promote efficient and constructive outcomes working with internal stakeholders.
