Job Description

At CEFA Early Learning, we are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Early Childhood Educator to join our team as a Child Development Specialist. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to develop and implement engaging child-care programs for newborns, infants, and children in an urban area setting.

Responsibilities:
  • Create and lead activities that foster creativity, socialization, and cognitive development, including storytelling, teaching songs, and outings.
  • Encourage children's natural curiosity through art, music, and physical activity, promoting their overall growth and well-being.
  • Establish and maintain a safe and healthy environment, ensuring children develop good daily habits, such as eating, dressing, and toilet training.
  • Monitor and report on children's progress, identifying potential issues and collaborating with colleagues to provide support.
  • Work collaboratively with community service providers to ensure comprehensive care and support for children and families.
Requirements:
  • Possess an Early Childhood Education (ECE) Certificate or equivalent qualification.
  • Undergo a criminal record check and provide immunization records.
  • Be able to work in a physically demanding environment, requiring flexibility and adaptability.
  • Demonstrate attention to detail, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Meet punctuality, dependability, and reliability expectations.
  • Exhibit excellent communication skills, working effectively as part of a team.
Working Conditions:
  • Work 37.5 to 40 hours per week, with a permanent work term.
  • Work language: English.

The estimated salary for this position is $55,000 to $65,000 per year, depending on qualifications and experience.
