Design Engineer

Vuteq Canada Inc. is seeking a highly skilled Design Engineer to join our team at the Vuteq Technical Center Americas. As a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and modifying automotive parts in collaboration with our OEM customers to ensure the design meets Vuteq production requirements and OEM design intention.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and/or modify automotive parts in collaboration with OEM customers
  • Communicate with OEM and supplier directly to confirm design and solve design issues
  • Support development projects through creation of CAD designs, finite element analysis, 3D printing, testing of products, and creation of slideshows
  • Lead and/or participate in the creation of the DFMEA and incorporate necessary actions into design
  • Attend or lead design review meetings
  • Provide design support to both internal and customer open issues list for product design issues
Requirements:
  • Successful completion of a minimum 2-4 year post-secondary program in mechanical or design engineering
  • 2-3 years of experience using CAD design software's (Catia V5, Siemens NX 11)
  • Knowledge of the automotive industry is considered an asset
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail when producing CAD drawings
  • Ability to show versatility and resourcefulness when problem solving
