Are you a motivated and experienced engineer looking to take on a challenging role in the mining industry? Alamos Gold is seeking a Project Engineer for the Lynn Lake Gold Project. This exciting opportunity will see you working as part of a team to deliver a major project, with a focus on engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning.

This is an outstanding chance to utilize your skills and experience in a fast-paced environment, working closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring that the engineering work is completed to the highest standard, within budget and to schedule.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, preferably with experience in mine infrastructure and processing plants. They will also have excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively in a team environment.

We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, based on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package. The role includes a 15/13 rotational schedule, with room and board provided at the Company's expense when traveling to site.

The Project Engineer will be based in Lynn Lake, Manitoba, and will work closely with the project team to ensure successful project delivery. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensuring that the engineering work is completed to the highest standard, within budget and to schedule;
  • Developing comprehensive scopes of work and procurement documents;
  • Participating in the development of requests for proposals for equipment/materials and contractors;
  • Working closely with the Alamos construction team and contractors to ensure requests for information (RFIs) are quickly addressed and closed;
  • Resolving and/or mitigating design and constructability issues with consultants and contractors;

The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of progressive engineering, project management, and construction experience in the mining industry. A technical diploma with extensive experience may also be considered.

In addition to your technical skills and experience, you will need to demonstrate exceptional attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
