Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commercial Sales Manager to join our team in the Ottawa to Oshawa territory.

About the Role:
As a Commercial Sales Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring consistent and profitable growth in sales revenues through effective planning, deployment, and management of the field sales team within the region. You will report to the Regional Manager and collaborate with various sales departments within Westburne.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Sales Support: You will identify sales objectives, strategies, and action plans to improve short and long-term sales and earnings. Assist sales representatives in establishing personal contact and rapport with top echelon decision-makers.
  2. Personal Impact: You will perform sales activities on major accounts in consultation with the Commercial Sales team. Take ownership of large strategic customers.
  3. People Management: You will manage and develop the sales and support teams. Provide quarterly results assessments of sales staff's productivity.
  4. Forecasting: You will develop specific plans to ensure revenue growth in all the company's products and forecast revenue streams. Interpret short and long-term effects of sales strategies on operating profit.
  5. Collaboration: You will work with the Commercial Sales team to develop sales strategies to improve market share with all commercial product lines.
  6. Brand Ambassador: You will build brand recognition while supporting sales initiatives and enhancing customer experiences. Ensure our corporate image is consistently reflected.

Requirements:
  1. You have a minimum of five years of experience, including at least three years in a management capacity or a combination.
  2. You have the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
  3. Distribution and/or Electrical knowledge will be considered a strong asset.
  4. You have excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
  5. You have the ability to impart knowledge, provide training, and motivate staff.
  6. You are available for overnight travel within your territory and nationally to attend meetings.
