Job Description

We are seeking a Strategic Labor Relations Partner to join our team at CAE. As a key member of our human resources department, you will be responsible for overseeing labor relations for a manufacturing employee group of 500 employees.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in human resources and at least 10 years of experience as a Human Resources business partner. A strong background in labor relations in a unionized production environment is also required.

In this role, you will be responsible for interpreting and applying the collective agreement, participating in collective agreement negotiations, and implementing action plans, programs, and HR projects to support the strategic objectives of the material engineering, global purchasing, operational excellence, and global health and safety groups.

You will also act as a human resources manager for employees, supervisors, and department heads of the groups served, advising managers on HR programs, policies, and procedures, compensation, training, employee relations, performance management, and succession planning.

This position requires excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, combined with strong organizational and presentation skills. The ability to work collaboratively within a team and exercise professional and emotional maturity and judgment to approach sensitive situations with integrity, diplomacy, tact, and high standards of ethics is essential.
