Our tutors dedicate themselves to understanding each student's unique learning style and adjusting their teaching methods accordingly. The Tutor Doctor Advantage
As a Tutor Doctor tutor, you are not just an instructor; you are a mentor. Witnessing a student experience their breakthrough moment is what drives our tutors to excel. This is a part-time contractual role, allowing tutors to select the students they wish to work with and create their own weekly schedules. Tutors are paired with students based on their qualifications, subject expertise, availability, personality, and geographical proximity.
- Our marketing and referral network ensures a consistent flow of potential students.
- Choose your students and tutoring times to align with your preferred schedule.
- Receive a comprehensive profile of your student before sessions, including academic background, current challenges, and objectives.
- Clients make payments directly to Tutor Doctor, and our streamlined invoicing system ensures prompt and hassle-free compensation for your services.
- Orientation, resources, and ongoing support are readily available to assist tutors as needed.
Position Responsibilities
If this resonates with you, we are currently looking for Generalists who can effectively teach all core subjects. You should be capable of instructing any or several of the following subjects, particularly for high school students:
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
- French
- English
As a Tutor, you will be expected to:
- Travel to students' residences (pre-screened)
- Arrange regular weekly tutoring sessions with students or their guardians
Qualifications
We are not seeking experts in every field, but rather individuals with a passion for education. As a Tutor Doctor Generalist, you should possess:
- Competence in teaching and reviewing all content related to specific subjects
- A degree or current enrollment in post-secondary education (both graduates and undergraduates are welcome)
- Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or coaching is preferred, especially familiarity with diverse learning styles (formal or informal)
- Access to reliable transportation or public transit
