Position Overview:

As a Sales Engineer at SIGA North America, you will play a pivotal role in fostering and nurturing client relationships through expert technical guidance. Your primary focus will be on expanding your designated territory and driving consistent sales growth. You will also conduct training sessions at client sites or construction locations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Proactively manage and enhance your territory.
  • Build and sustain relationships with key stakeholders, including decision-makers, architects, developers, and contractors.
  • Provide technical support and product expertise to both new and existing clients.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to facilitate the sales process.
  • Deliver on-site project assistance, training, and application advice to clients.
  • Maintain accurate data management through CRM systems.
  • Organize and host customer engagement events, such as workshops.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in construction engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in the construction sector, with a strong grasp of building physics, construction methodologies, and building envelope practices.
  • A technical background in construction, design, or building management.
  • Prior experience in a sales capacity.
  • Knowledge of passive house standards, high-performance building envelopes, and mass timber is advantageous.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills for engaging with both internal teams and external clients.
  • Specialization in application processes is a plus.
  • Proficiency in French is an asset.
  • Willingness to travel as required.
  • Possession of a valid passport and driver's license is necessary.
  • Residence in Ottawa, Ontario is required.

Additional Information:

This role will primarily be conducted from a home office, with an expectation of approximately 20% travel for overnight stays, which may range from one night to several weeks. Daily sales and business development activities may require travel up to 40%-60%.
