Experience

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate trucks as part of a two-person team or in a convoy
  • Drive specialized lighter trucks
  • Load and unload freight efficiently
  • Transport goods and materials using straight or articulated trucks
  • Inspect vehicle conditions, including tires, lights, and brakes
  • Handle payments for transported goods
  • Perform necessary brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs
  • Conduct pre-trip, en route, and post-trip inspections
  • Engage in preventive maintenance tasks
  • Ensure safety and security of cargo during transport
Documentation Skills
  • Maintain driver logbooks
  • Complete inspection reports
  • Prepare trip reports
Travel Requirements
  • Willingness to travel cross-border and internationally
  • Ability to travel for extended periods and overnight
Work Environment
  • Attention to detail is crucial
  • Ability to handle heavy loads and manage a large workload
  • Overtime may be required
  • Physical demands include repetitive tasks and prolonged sitting
