Health Records Clerk

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health Records Clerk to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Health Records Clerk, you will play a critical role in maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including creating, retrieving, and updating records as needed
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, including HIPAA and other relevant laws and regulations
- Support the delivery of high-quality patient care by providing timely and accurate information to healthcare providers
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of patient care
- Perform other related duties as assigned
- Grade 12 diploma or equivalent
- Graduate of a recognized medical terminology course
- 6 months recent experience in a related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to keyboard at a rate of 45 wpm
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
- Ability to deal with others effectively
- Ability to organize work
- Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position
- Ability to operate related equipment
