Greenhouse Horticulturist

We are seeking a skilled Greenhouse Labourer to join our team at BEECH NURSERY GROUP INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining our greenhouse and outdoor spaces, ensuring the health and well-being of our plants and trees.

• Apply fertilizers and other plant nutrients to promote healthy growth
• Water and tend to plants, lawns, and gardens, ensuring they receive the right amount of moisture
• Weed, prune, and trim trees and plants to maintain their shape and promote healthy growth
• Plant bulbs, flowers, shrubs, and trees in our greenhouse and outdoor spaces
• Cut grass and maintain our outdoor spaces to ensure they look their best
• Cart and spread topsoil and other materials as needed
• Rake and collect refuse to keep our spaces clean and tidy
• Operate and maintain landscape maintenance equipment to ensure it is in good working order

• Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience
• 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field
• Criminal record check
• Ability to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
• Physical ability to lift and carry heavy objects

This is a seasonal position, working 40 hours per week. The successful candidate will be required to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions.
