The Opportunity:

Our client, a highly regarded Vancouver Island-based co-operative, is seeking a leader to drive its people and culture strategy. With 17 retail fuel and convenience centres, 10 liquor stores, and commercial card lock operations, the organization is committed to building strong communities and benefiting its member-owners.

As the VP, People and Culture, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategies to attract, retain, and engage top talent. You will work closely with the leadership team to create a positive and inclusive work environment that supports the organization's mission and values.

Key Responsibilities:

* Develop and implement a comprehensive people and culture strategy that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives

* Lead the development and implementation of training programs to enhance employee skills and knowledge

* Collaborate with the leadership team to create a positive and inclusive work environment

* Analyze and report on HR metrics to inform business decisions

* Develop and manage the HR budget

* Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in HR and talent management

Requirements:

* 5+ years of experience in a senior HR role

* Proven track record of developing and implementing successful people and culture strategies

* Strong leadership and communication skills

* Ability to analyze and interpret HR metrics

* Strong business acumen and understanding of the co-operative business model

* Bachelor's degree in HR or a related field
