The MINI Sales & Marketing Intern will assist in the Brand Marketing, Sales, and Product divisions of the organization. The primary responsibilities of this role encompass budget oversight for the entire team, providing executional support to the Brand Marketing Specialists in areas such as Digital, CRM, Partnerships, Campaigns, and Performance Reporting, along with support for the Product Manager, Regional Operations Managers, and Director of MINI.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Marketing

  • Manage CM-C4-CA Brand and DAG estimates in SAP, ensuring timely invoice payments. Collaborate with Controlling to keep all transfers and tracking current.
  • Conduct bi-weekly checks to confirm lead receipt by retailers.
  • Participate in monthly budget reconciliation meetings for the Marketing team.
  • Collaborate with the Digital Specialist quarterly to audit retailer websites and social media practices, providing recommendations for enhancement.
  • Gain experience working with creative and media agencies through small-scale digital campaigns.
  • Ensure the Marketing Hub, a central repository for Canadian MINI imagery, videos, and guidelines, is updated with the latest content to support retailers.
  • Lead the development of content for Retailer Direct.
  • Assist in the implementation of partnership programs (e.g., Plug N Drive).
  • Spearhead guerilla activations (e.g., MINI Acts of Kindness) and support events or virtual meetups as needed.
  • Aid the Product Manager with competitive analysis, product sample distribution, and other ad hoc projects.

Sales

  • Update the sales forecasting tracker document weekly for the Director.
  • Create a visit template and prepare for each retailer visit or virtual meeting for MINI Regional Operations Managers.
  • Compile Monthly/Quarterly regional reports detailing sales volume, sales mix, market share, etc.
  • Process Regional Marketing Co-op claims and reports.
  • Handle purchase orders.
  • Plan regional and virtual events.

Product

  • Assist product planning with updates in PISA, OKA & PCASO.
  • Collaborate closely with product planning to analyze system conflicts for improved efficiency.
  • Work with product planning to identify product-related topics or challenges to enhance information accuracy and implement ongoing improvement processes.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Currently pursuing or recently completed (within the last 12 months) a Diploma or Degree in Marketing or a related field.
  • Strong writing and editing capabilities.
  • Excellent organizational, project management, and attention to detail skills.
  • Ability to manage projects from inception to completion while adhering to strict deadlines.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Capable of creating clear and impactful presentations.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, demanding environment.
  • Understanding of paid media categories and media planning is considered an asset.
  • Experience in the automotive industry is a plus.
  • Bilingual proficiency in French is an asset.
