About the Opportunity

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Stores Clerk to join our team at Nova Scotia Health. As a key member of our Supply Chain Logistics team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the efficient and effective management of inventories and supplies throughout Northern Nova Scotia.

Your primary responsibilities will include managing supply closets, entering and picking orders, packing and labeling shipments, receiving and putting away incoming shipments, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. You will also be responsible for operating and maintaining warehouse equipment, such as electric pallet jacks and manual pallet jacks.

In addition to your technical skills, you will possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment and provide exceptional customer service. You will also be able to travel to multiple Nova Scotia Health facilities within the Northern Zone for Supply Chain-related responsibilities.

About You
  • Grade 12 or equivalent
  • Willingness to participate in ongoing education programs
  • Working knowledge and proficiency with a variety of computer software and programs
  • Demonstrated planning, organizational, priority setting skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a self-directed environment and also effectively within an interdisciplinary team
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills as well as leadership skills
  • Working knowledge of the SAP computer system is preferred
  • Previous experience in a central stores/purchasing environment preferred
  • Knowledge of inventory control preferred
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of and current relevant experience with Microsoft Office
  • Demonstrated understanding of the role of Materials Management Service in the delivery of patient care and understanding of how errors may affect medical treatment and cause financial loss
  • The ability to travel to multiple Nova Scotia Health facilities within the Northern Zone for Supply Chain-related responsibilities
  • PLEASE NOTE: This position requires considerable standing, moving, bending, kneeling, and lifting of heavy and awkward objects
  • Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
  • Permanent Full-time (100%) position, 75 Hours Bi-Weekly
Compensation and Benefits

$ Hourly
